Dear Lootius,
Real life events sometimes push us into unexpected new paths. Even though I once thought it would never happen, I recently found myself creating music – with a little help from AI. Music created by AI can be many things. And I have to admit, I can always tell if a track has been generated by AI or played by a real band. But I had a wish: to try it out myself. I’ve always been very musical and have loved music deeply my whole life.
Music In My Early Life
At four years old I was adopted by my forever family. One of my earliest memories of music was bonding with my new mom, playing four hands on the piano with her. I was only four and a half, and from that moment on, the piano became my safe space – my creative escape.
As I grew older, around six and up, I would spend two to three (sometimes even more) hours a day at the piano. When I wasn’t out exploring the forest, drawing, or writing poems while listening to Beatles LPs or the latest disco tracks our Canadian friends brought, I was at the piano, letting my imagination run wild.
Even as a child, I loved creating my own small compositions. When we traveled, I would bring a tiny Casio mini-organ with me to practice songs I heard by memory – then recreate them fully at home on the piano. I still remember at age 12 playing ‘Memory’ from Cats in London with one finger on the casio – then coming home and replaying it by heart with both hands.
At that age, I even gave piano lessons to neighborhood kids. In high school, I naturally followed the music-language line. Unfortunately, life took a different turn, and after the age of 27, I played less and less, and eventually sold my beloved piano. Today I sadly forgot it, and no, it’s not like riding a bike to me 😀
So today, being able to create music again, even through AI, feels like a dream come true. Yes, I know: it’s not exactly the same as traditional music. But it stirs the same feeling I had as a small child; losing myself in creativity, fantasy, and love for sound and storytelling.
Since discovering this new world, I’ve almost made a song a day. My main goal is not just to “use” AI but to master it. I believe in controlling the AI and not letting AI control you.
All the lyrics are my own. (After all, I’ve always been an author and poet, so writing comes naturally.) Some lyrics are older poems reimagined; others are brand new, written to match the vibe I want to create.
Many tracks are inspired by people or situations I know – both in real life and in-game.
For example: the popular track “Willow Killed The Chat” was born from a funny moment in Atlas Haven Radio’s Discord Server. Whitewillow’s endless chatter sparked someone to joke, “Willow, you’re killing the chat!” Of course, I had to turn that into a song (and Willow knows I love her 😉 ).
I’ve also written love songs, heartbreak songs, songs about betrayal, revenge, friendship – all the beautiful, messy things that fill our lives.
This month, I even released two albums and four singles on Spotify. When I set my mind on something, I go all in. In my world, you can’t stand still because if you do, you start growing old. I need to keep challenging myself, or boredom sneaks in way too easily.
The Programs I Use
I use different paid program subscriptions for my music. One is Suno, where I compose and tweak AI to build the style and vibe I want. And no, it’s not just pushing a button and magically getting a track. You can do that of course, just like you can let AI write your lyrics, but it sounds exactly like that: soulless. Horrible, honestly.
To make music personal, you have to tell the program everything: the genre, the mood, where the chorus and verses go, when lyrics should whisper or burst out, when the beat should drop, fade-ins, fade-outs … everything. It’s a dance between precision and creativity. I’m still learning, developing my persona (the voice that represents me) and my unique style prompts.
After creating and refining 50–60 versions of a track, I download the best one as a WAV file and upload it to BandLab. There, I can split the track into voice, bass, drums, guitar, etc., and tweak each element. BandLab lets me master the sound and polish the track into something truly my own.
From there, I upload the final track to DistroKid, which distributes it to Spotify, iTunes, YouTube Music, TikTok, Instagram – even games like Roblox.
At DistroKid, I master the track for release. Then, I download it again and move to Clipchamp, a video editing program. To create visuals for YouTube, I use Sora (connected to ChatGPT) to generate short video clips matching the song’s theme.
Finally, in Clipchamp, I connect all the pieces – music and video – and upload it to YouTube.
So, for me, it’s not just about “making music.” It’s a journey down memory lane, about passion but most of all about disappearing into a creative world I love with all my heart.
I’m truly into most kinds of music, and I’m exploring all styles, but melancholic, electronic sounds resonate most with me. They match who I am inside.
Sometimes, things happen for a reason. The “takeover” of Atlas Haven Radio and now this burst of creativity through music both feel like pieces falling perfectly into place in the puzzle called life. It’s as if these opportunities were always meant to land on my table. I feel very blessed being able to explore both paths within my Entropian life and very, very humbled by the amazing feedback I’ve received so far.
All my awesome friends in Entropia have given me a powerful sense of encouragement – the feeling of being heard, understood, and able to give something back to the community that has given me so much. And all dots are being connected with awesome people in my society, Church of Lootius, and our work in the Event & Media team with our great events. Thank you <3
I hope you’ll enjoy my tracks – and if you do, it would mean the world to me if you’d subscribe to my YouTube channel <3
Lootius bless – love & kisses,
Lykke TheNun
Please, enjoy – and if I didn’t already, then maybe I will create a track about you one day =)
